Safety tips for online meetings
To use Hakuna in a fun and safe way, make sure to follow the instructions below.
- Keep your personal information.
- Do not share social media accounts with an unreliable friend.
- Never share your ID number, home or school/work address, or personal phone number, etc. with strangers.
- e.g.) "What's your social security number? It's the information I need to recharge your diamonds."
- Never send money or share financial information.
- If anyone approaches you to make money, report it right away.
- Never send money by bank transfer even if the other claims it is an emergency.
- e.g.) "I have a model part-time job for 100 dollars an hour, and I'll let you know only. Are you interested?"
- If there is a user who is demanding money or gifts, report it and notify your parents or trusted adults.
- Beware of users who are leading to other apps from the beginning.
- Users with inappropriate intentions want to talk directly through open chat, messenger apps, e-mail, or mobile phones.
- e.g.) "Do you want to talk on telegram open chat?"
- Report and block the person if you have witnessed or experienced any of the following actions:
- Any suspicious and unpleasant behavior/content
- Unilateral abuse or sexual harassment
- An adult user provides a contact and asks you to contact him.

- Any illegal or harmful behavior/content
- If alcohol/cigarette is recommended
- If you offer to provide accommodation and lodging

Safety tips for offline meetings
Hakuna is an online platform, but if you plan to meet Hakuna friends offline, make sure to keep the following in mind. Think about offline meetings one more time, as carefully as possible, to identify dangerous people.
- Never meet someone you can't trust offline.
- Never meet someone unless you can trust them to be well-informed.
- Inform your family and friends of your schedule and meeting location.
- Be sure to share your schedule and location with your family and friends, and contact them from time to time through mobile phone. It's also good to take another friend to the first meeting.
- If you meet a friend you feel you have become close to, use a public place.
- Meet in a public place for the first few times. Avoid people's houses, or private places, including in the car. Never meet someone if they insist to meet in a private place.
